Covid 19 Update – 8th June 2020

Click Here to view our patient update – 8th June
As you know on March 23rd this year the Chief Dental Officer instructed that all face to contact with patients and routine dental care was to cease immediately.

Following the  recent announcement of the Chief Dental Officer concerning the provision of dental services we are now preparing for the resumption of emergency and routine dental services.

In order that we may provide a safe and effective service we will be following a phased reopening programme. Initially we will be prioritising emergencies and those patients who had interrupted courses of treatment. We will not be carrying out more complex treatments until we are satisfied we have all the additional safe guards in place to make it safe for ourselves and our patients.

We have always worked to the highest infection control standards and we are currently implementing changes in line with the recommendations of Public Health England, FGDP and other professional bodies.

When we reopen patients will notice some changes.

These will include:

Hand sanitiser for patients on entry

Upgraded staff PPE in line with Public Health England Guidance

Booking appointments to avoid overcrowding and in keeping with social distancing

Prioritising shielded and vulnerable patients where possible

Patients waiting outside practice to maintain social distancing from other patients (we may ask you to stay in your car until the previous patient has left the premises)

Telephone appointment booking only

We are taking the above measures to ensure patient and staff safety at all times.

We thank you in advance for your patience and co-operation and we look forward to seeing you soon.

I can’t thank you enough for the amazing cosmetic work you did on my front teeth. It really has made a enormous difference to my confidence. I can now smile!

After having had a bad experience with the dentist and following an operation for an ulcer and losing a tooth, it was recommended that I see Steve McDonnell. When I went to see him, all my fears were lost as I was made comfortable and instantly had confidence that I was in the best hands possible. Now I have teeth that look like they did when I was young.
Melanie L, Cheshire
A friend recommended Steve McDonnell to me and I have been delighted because Steve, his hygienist, Diane, and his staff are so friendly and professional. I have been delighted with the treatment my family and I have received, particularly for my son who needed emergency treatment on a Saturday morning for a chipped tooth. I have had no hesitation in recommending Steve and Diane to my parents and other family members and friends.

Since I was a young child I have had a phobia of the dentist; as a result I didn’t go for a long time. I was recommended to come and see Steve by my work colleague. This practice has a completely different feel about it. I was supported through a lot of treatment. I now can smile again and don’t fear coming here. I especially like being able to listen to my ipod whilst having treatment!

When I walked in to Trinity House, I knew it wasn’t like a normal dentist’s. I felt so comfortable and relaxed and all the staff were very friendly. When I met Steve McDonnell, he knew I was petrified because I’d had bad experiences at my old dentist so when I got in the chair, he calmed me down and talked me through step by step what he was going to do to my teeth. Now, I’ve never felt so confident coming to the dentist and if anybody needed a dentist to go to I would one hundred per cent recommend coming to Steve McDonnell because my teeth have never looked this good and you can trust him with what he is doing.
